J&A Chronicles: The Day He Proposed

It was April 10, 2009 -- it was Good Friday and I was going to be the ONLY person at work.  I was not particularly looking forward to getting up and going to work to be alone all day, but I didn't have much of a choice.
I rolled over and kissed J and crawled out of bed.  I got into the shower, as I do every morning, and I heard J come into the bathroom. That's odd, I thought.  I asked "What are you doing" and he responded "I'm going to the bathroom".  He NEVER gets up in the mornings so it was a little strange but I didn't think twice about it.  I got out of the shower and towled off.  I brushed my hair and my teeth, sticking with my daily routine.  I opened the bathroom door, and there was J surrounded by candles, kneeling in the middle of the livingroom with a velvet box in his hand.
I stopped in my tracks and just kept repeating "oh my gosh! oh my gosh!" and started crying.  I rushed to him where he knelt and just threw my arms around him.  I couldn't believe it was happening -- the man wanted to MARRY ME!! WOOO!!!!
I pulled away from him to look at him and he said "The last 18 months of my life with you have been incredible. I want to spend every day for the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?"  Of course I said "YES!".  I was so excited and finally took a second to look at the ring! It was GORGEOUS! I could NOT have been happier!
As he was putting the ring on my finger I asked "did you ask my parents? Do they know?"  That was kind of important to me, as I am SUPER close with my family.  He told me he had made the 2 hour drive North 2 days prior and had lunch with them! How sweet and amazing is he?!
We immediately started talking about dates and decided to do it the week of Jessica's (my little sister) Spring Break...March 13, 2010.  It was decided! My very first phone call that morning was to my sister -- because both of our families already knew!
First Picture Together Engaged!
The only bad thing to this WHOLE story is that I STILL had to go to work AND couldn't share with anyone! BOOO!!! My boss ended up coming in around lunch time and let me leave early.  We made the trek North to spend Easter with my family -- I couldn't wait to start planning our wedding!
