12 Days of Christmas: Day 10 & A Non-Christmas Surprise

Favorite Christmas Songs/Caroles

One of my favorite songs at Christmas time is "Baby, It's Cold Outside".  I also really enjoy "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year"...I just wish I would learn all the words one year! OH! and "silver bells" and...OK who are we kidding I pretty much love ALL Christmas music!
As for Caroles, "Oh Holy Night" has to be my all time favorite followed by "Mary Did You Know" and "Do you Hear What I Hear".  That song moves me to tears!

The Non-Christmas Present Surprise

Some of you may or may not know, but J bought us a present. He said it isn't a Christmas present because we aren't buying each other Christmas gifts this year. He had been saving money for a fishing trip he had planned to take with another group of guys in June 2011. Well two of the guys that were supposed to be going were my dad and my future-brother-in-law. Naturally since they are both saving for a wedding/honeymoon for July 2011, they had to back out. They had originally been short 1 person, so now he definitely wouldn't be able to go. I was upset for him and as you can imagine, he was definitely majorly upset, but he could understand why it wasn't going to happen. I told him he should use that money for himself. Yeah that was going to happen.
SO we had previously decided that we wouldn't buy each other Christmas presents but we would still do stocking stuffers. He tells me he is buying US a Non-Christmas present and that I would get it at some point but NOT on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. This isn't cute -- it's a big tease =) All this time, I can't imagine what he could buy that we would both want and use?!

It's the Canon Rebel XS!!! I am SO excited!! We were messing around a little with it - taking some pictures of the dog and our rings. I can't wait to get it out this weekend and take some pictures outside! I am SO so lucky to have such an amazing husband! And to my surprise, this is something we have actually been talking about getting for us one day, so he was right after all -- it is an 'us' gift=)
