J & A Chronicles: Bridal Shower

** Just a note: I WAS going to wait until our anniversary to roll out the wedding recap but I am getting impatient so you will start getting a recap in roughly 4 weeks beginning with the rehearsal =)

My bridal shower was held November 2009 at one of my bridesmaid's homes and co-hosted by all of my bridesmaids and maid-of-honor. Everyone was asked to dress up and bring their favorite side dish or dessert to share.
A bunch of ladies brought pretty presents =)

We played some games: Like How Well Do You Know J? They asked him questions and got answers.  Then they asked me the questions about him to see if I knew what his answers would be. When I got them wrong, they made me put on some of his clothes/accessories/shoes haha.  It was fun and in my defense, some of the questions we wouldn't have talked about -- ie: what elementary school did he attend.

We also played the toilet paper wedding dress game

Then it was time to open gifts.  I received A LOT of nice things.  One of my favorites was made by my dear friend, Christy. It makes me smile every time I walk by it in our house.
My other favorite was a recipe book -- filled with my guests favorite recipes.  I love it! I knew I had good recipes too!
Gifts not pictured: everyone brought pictures of themselves with me and they all made scrapbook pages! So thoughtful! My girls also bought a nice frame and photo mat that everyone signed.  I have it hanging in the house with the group shot picture in it.
We made my rehearsal dinner bouquet from ribbons and tissue paper off the gifts I received =)

Your dress is BEAUTIFUL! I love it! It would have gone great with my wedding colors too... LOL :)

If you happen to throw your sister a bridal shower (especially a personals one) you so have to do the Teddy game!

Your shower looks like you have tons of amazing and supportive wmen in your life who looove you to pieces!! Your shower looks like so much fun and I love the question game of how well you knew your hubby! hahaha

AND about the office scenerio-- PEOPLE aggravate me I swear...It is like they do not know how to behave so they just like to put others down and eat at them. We both must try to ignore the catty women at our offices haha

What a cute shower! I just LOVE the question game. My friend is getting married this spring, but for every question she gets wrong, she has to put a marshmallow in her mouth! Haha! It should be pretty funny. Have a great weekend!!!

I had to do the question game at my shower, too! For every one that I got wrong, I had to chew a piece of gum!!

I love the recipe book that they gave you. What a sweet and awesome gift!!
