A Little Random on Thursday

So for some reason, when my post for yesterday went up it kind of froze my poor little bloggy =( I don't know why - I didn't have anything out of the ordinary going on in it. I just tried it again and it worked so if you have found my post today - you could also check out the post that SHOULD have gone up yesterday.

I picked out the master bathroom color yesterday at lunch. Before deciding on it, I went back to the tile department with a sample card to make sure it would look good. I was stressing with the whole beige tile and oak cabinets but it is going to look awesome! I think that has to do with the fact that it has warmer undertones as opposed to blue undertones. I was going to share the color with you but it sits on the counter at home =/ booo!!

Our tentative closing is Monday at 11 AM! I am so excited! I can't wait!!! The appraisal came back and it is all good to go =) There are SO many steps and hand changes that things make when you are buying a house. I know to some of you this isn't surprising, but let's be real here -- I haven't ever bought anything. We DID have to buy me a car a couple months ago after my accident, but we paid cash and I feel like a car is SO much smaller (not talking physically here) than a house.

I am hoping to be able to take half days all next week to work on getting stuff done. I can't wait to start showing you transformation pictures and different upgrades we do.

My husband started his new position today! I am so so excited -- no more out of town working and no more traveling. No more nights away from one another -- this is going to be BLISS!!! He will work a normal job - I think it is probably the first in his life! He has worked so so hard this past year, with the traveling and the hard, back-breaking work he of his previous position. There were most nights than not, when he would get home and be so sore he could barely move. It pained me to see him like that because there wasn't anything I could do for him. I'm so thrilled that won't be the case any longer! YAY!

A very good friend of mine is interviewing for a new job today - so if you could take a moment and send prayers for her or positive warm fuzzies or whatever it is you do, it would really be appreciated. She is such a kind and smart girl and she is a hard worker. This would be an incredible opportunity for her and her husband.

Tomorrow is Friday and we are having our 3rd Annual Halloween Bash. This year my sister is hosting it at their new house. I can't wait! We are going to play board games with a drinking twist and I hope I can convince a bunch of people to play twister =) Can you imagine -- grown people in their twenties and thirties playing drunk twister!? Sounds like fun to me!!

Two weeks ago I bought my first pair of skinny jeans. The salesgirl picked them out for me and let me just tell y'all -- I am IN LOVE! The husband even likes them. I think for Christmas, I am going to re-do my wardrobe. =) We'll see, that idea may change once we get moved in and start thinking about other things for the house that we want or need.

Alright - I think that is enough news and random-ness for a Thursday. I hope you are having a wonderful week!!
Anything new and exciting with you???

What I'm Lovin' Wednesday

Hey Fabulous! I'm so happy the week is headed into the second half already! I have a lot to get done in the next five days and I'm looking forward to having a lot of weekend time to do it. I thought I would link up for WILW (you can here) since I don't have a project to share at the moment:

I'm Lovin' that we are closing on MONDAY! I know I said we would be closing on Friday but the appraisal didn't come back until yesterday and the loan processor can't have it ready by Friday to close. That's alright -- I get an extra weekend to get stuff done and projects finished.

I'm Lovin' our new house and all our decorating ideas!

I'm Lovin' that Target had a bathroom set that proved to me that I'm not crazy and gray DOES work with tans/beiges. I have been wanting to paint the bathroom a dark gray but was concerned it wouldn't do well with the counters and tiles.  I'll share with you a picture of the bathroom and a picture of the trash can:
Can you tell one of the photos was taken with a camera phone?! =)

I'm Lovin' that we are less than TWO MONTHS from Christmas! I can't wait to decorate this gorgeous house and get a Christmas tree set up! Oh my gosh --- WHERE WILL WE PUT IT?! Oh the decisions!

I'm Lovin' Gallery Walls
I started designing the wall we will use for a gallery of us =) I'm so excited to have SO much wall space at the new place. I have walls designated for weddings (ours and friends/family), family pictures, pictures of/with our friends, an 'us' wall, and then in the man-room we will have tons of pictures from all the fishing excursions and pictures of people with their biggest catch while fishing with us.

I'm Lovin' all of our friends and family and all the support they have shown/given us over the past several months trying to get this process together, the funds saved up, and finding the perfect house!

I'm Lovin' all of you for your love and support, prayers and positive thoughts. You guys are amazing!

I'm Lovin' my AMAZING and wonderful husband. Enough Said...

What are you loving this Wonderful Wednesday?!

A Day of Mixed Emotions

Hey Hey!
Can you believe the weekend is already over? I am having a hard time with it!
We are closing on the house this week...I can't believe it is finally here. We had big plans to get so much accomplished this weekend. I am sad to report that none of it got done. We had a couple extenuating circumstances that kept us tending to other tasks on Saturday and we knew that Sunday would be busy. I guess I am just going to have to figure out how to be productive on the week nights.

I am feeling a huge range of emotions today:
--I'm tired because I didn't sleep well--
--I am SO excited to be closing on the house this week--
--I'm disappointed that we didn't get things done at the house--
--I am happy we were able to spend time with friends and both families this weekend--

I think the biggest disappointment of everything is that I am not going to be able to run the half marathon I was hoping to get into this year.  The race is December 3rd. I would normally have enough time between now and then EXCEPT we are case you didn't read lol! After closing, we are going to be painting every wall in the entire house and then doing all the flooring. THEN we will have to move and decorate. That is going to take a lot of time and work and I just won't have time to do my cross training during the week AND work on getting the house together. I am aiming for the Rock 'n' Roll half that is scheduled in February. In the meantime, I will run when I can during the month of November and probably run the Thanksgiving Day 5K.

I am so very excited about the house and all that entails. I know it is going to be SO much work but I am positive it is going to be worth every drop of sweat. =) There are so many aspects that I am thrilled about and I can't wait to share them all with you. I will definitely be showing you what we have currently and the 'upgrade'. I am thankful for the situation we have been in and for the house we have been living. It is a really cute first house but it is time we move on and move out. Like I said, there are lot of aspects that will be coming to us in 'upgrade' form and I can't wait to show you all the progression pictures as we tackle this project =)

Do you find you're disappointed even when whatever has caused the delay/detour is ALSO a good thing?

I'm so AMPED!

I really am anyway because of what is going to be going on here in the next couple weeks. We turned on the power and water at the new house and went and checked it out again last night. The appraiser is going out today and the inspection is tomorrow.  I'm excited!!! =)

I don't drink coffee very often...I had a cup this morning because it was chilly in our office.  This is how I feel when I drink it:

I'm not joking lol!  I'm totally the coffee employee right now! =)
I was reheating the coffee, saw a cookie and thought "COOOOOKKKIIIIIEEEEE" (think the voice of the cookie monster) totally serious haha!

Do you feel all jittery or silly when you have coffee??

Happy Almost Friday!

I Have Exciting News

SO I had a post all scheduled and planned out because I am trying to be more organized and plan ahead.  I was going to tell you about our fishing trip this weekend and how much fun we had and show you pictures of all the fish we caught.....
that will have to wait BECAUSE

I am so excited I can't hardly stand it! After MONTHS of waiting -- literally three months -- we received the approval letter last night and a close on or before date. I talked to my loan officer and we are trying to close by NEXT FRIDAY!!! Jumping Jellyfish! that is only ELEVEN DAYS!!!!! EEEEK!!! I have SO much to do and all those projects that have fallen by the wayside, well, it is time to get at it!
Thank you for all the crossed fingers and toes, prayers, and happy thoughts. I am going to be a HOMEOWNER!!!!

Last Friday Night

Hello All!!!
Holy Busy!! This weekend was jam-packed and FLEW by! Unfortunately I didn't get any projects finished =/ I DID however buy some supplies for projects.  I am seriously going to have to start working on stuff on week nights instead of waiting until the weekend. We keep getting involved with other people and their plans and then we don't do the thing we had planned!!!!! Oh well we have been having a great time!
Like last Friday night, for example: We went to Blue Martini for Anngela's birthday.
We had SO much fun and it was nice for The Husband and I to get out for the night and not have to worry about anything; just hanging out with some friends/family. PLUS it was nice to get all 'fancy' =)

Did you do anything fun after your long day at work Last Friday Night?

That is how many days J and I have been together...yep, 4 years!
I'm not sure how that happened. Sometimes I feel like it has been a few months - sometimes I feel like it HAS to have been longer haha!

We have grown so much -- when we met I was barely drinking age! We have learned so much about one another and ourselves AND we have had a LOT of fun together:

Went to Cuba
Took Family Vacations
He has taught me to fish
Went Hunting -- he taught me how to shoot

He proposed: I said "yes!"

We became Husband and Wife
So many things have happened in the short amount of time we have been together and now we are preparing to buy a house!! YAY!!! I'm so excited to see what the future holds for us =)

I would like to apologize for the swearing...

Pinned Image

I really enjoyed reading the Twilight books didn't really like the first movie so I never saw the others. But THIS is hilarious -- the bad-A vamps making fun of the eternally in love one. AWESOME-SAUCE!

God Gave Rock 'n' Roll To You - Put It In the Soul of Everyone

Hi everyone!! Ugh! I totally don't mean to be neglecting the ol' blog here but I have been busy busy busy! Just hang on a little longer and I will get back to a more regular schedule.

Last night my dad and I went to a concert:
Pop Evil, Theory of a Deadman, and 3 Doors Down!
Can I just tell you that it was AMAZING! I am so happy I was able to see 3 Doors Down as I have been a fan since day 1!!!
Here are a couple pictures of 3DD that I got with my camera phone. I took some really great pictures of all the bands with my camera but I don't have it AND the camera cord right now.

oh and just for laughs:
It is hard to make out but this 'couple' wasn't a couple when they showed up -- I'm pretty sure they didn't even know one another. I'm not against finding someone at a bar -- to each their own.  My issue with this particular couple is that they were grinding to Theory of a Deadman's Bitch Came Back as well as their remake of Cocaine (originally by Eric Clapton).  Seriously -grinding?? Then they were licking -- yes licking -- each other during one of the 3DD songs. So moral of the story kids, make sure the friend you take with you doesn't let you have a night where you will wake up the next morning and think "WTF?!" Her friend was definitely NOT looking out for her lol

I hope you're having an amazing week!
What was the last concert you went to??
