Happy Friday Everyone!! I think this may be the final installment of the J & A Chronicles -- actually, I am going to do one more next week on our wedding and we'll finally be finished lol...other than the honeymoon, y'all are pretty much caught up on how my relationship with J came to fruition, the growth of it and the wedding. The last BIG thing y'all don't have a recap of is the honeymoon. *sigh*
We decided Single Ladies was a fun song/option, I didn't really want to call out all my singles. Its not my style. SO I picked Ain't No Other Man by Christina Aguilera. I just love the song and the beat and really, like anyone actually remembers! For the bouquet toss, our photographers told me to throw a rolled up napkin to get the girls laughing and excited. I did and it was highly entertaining:
It definitely got a good laugh and got the girls excited to catch the ACTUAL bouquet haha =)
My cousin, Corley caught the napkin and my sister caught the flowers -- Corley is getting married in a few short weeks and my sister is getting married in July. Maybe there is something to the bouquet toss afterall? =)
For the garter removal, J wanted to do something unique/different. We spent a lot of time coming up with something. In the end, we definitely made it a surprise. The DJ started by playing Love and Marriage.
Right as the vocals came in, J asked the DJ to cut the music and play something for real. The DJ started playing Back That Thang Up and J pulled me out of the chair and he sat down. He pulled out a stack of ones and made me dance for the cash and he had to pay enough for the garter. Here are some pictures of it:
Then he pulled out the big money -- $20! YEAH! That was enough to let him get to the garter lol!
Here is also a video that a friend of ours took...everyone was so surprised that hardly anyone got it on film and those that did, didn't get the whole thing haha! It was so fun though!
And yes -- those are singles all over the ground haha =)
For the Garter Toss -- J picked Another One Bites the Dust (typical haha)
Thankfully someone Jess didn't know caught the garter...I say thankfully because of the song we picked: It's Not You by Halestorm.
I still can't believe its been a year!
You can check out all the wedding posts, if you want/need to catch up:
Happy Friday! I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
