Wedding Wednesday

This is Lishya

I met this beautiful lady through Project Wedding.  I was very active on that site and met some wonderful ladies! Lishya is beautiful and incredibly kind.

Her and her husband, Sean, were married at the Vellano Private Golf Club in sunny CA, May 23, 2010.
Lishya had her stunning dress custom made for her -- it is stunning with beautiful lace appliques and a delicate lace applique one shoulder strap.

Lishya had a stunning bouquet of peonies that had perfectly blossomed for the wedding day.
I love watching the groom see his bride for the first time as she walks down the aisle.  It is always so moving, whether he is smiling or crying or both.  Lishya's groom was not a disappointment, as he took deep breaths in the hopes of keeping it together as his stunning bride walked down the aisle towards him

During the ceremony, the couple had a unity sand ceremony -- as is a very popular option to the unity candle ceremony.
You have committed here today to share the rest of your lives with each other. Today, this relationship is symbolized through the pouring of these two individual containers of sand: one representing you, Sean, and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be; and the other representing you, Lishya, and all that you were, and all that you are, and all that you will ever be. As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be.

The reception was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Vellano Country Club.

Their table numbers were actually names of their favorite restaurants, as the couple LOVES food! =)

Thank you Lishya for allowing me to feature you and your sweet husband!!

And for those of you who are curious -- my bio can be found here on PW =)
Happy Wednesday!

Wedding Wednesday

Meet Nicole from Life's a Beach
Make sure you check out their engagement story here! It is SO sweet!!
She was married to her husband September 4, 2010.
The bride conspired with two of the groom's friends who were deployed to Afghanistan.  The groom didn't know that his friends were able to take leave to fly to The States for the wedding and was so happy to have his close friends there for his special day. They surprised him by showing up at the rehearsal -- you can read all about Nicole's surprise here

During the rehearsal, the groom had to teach his daughter how to be a flowergirl -- how sweet is that?!

The ceremony was at 11am.  Anyone who has been married knows, as a bride, you take a WHILE to get ready.  The bride was up and exhausted at 6am -- she says she was so thankful for a cherry coke and her iPhone to keep her awake and entertained!

The bride wore 3 garters; a keep, a toss, and one that a bridesmaid crafted for the entire bridal party so that they would match.

How darling is the flower girl basket?!

The bride and groom had a traditional unity candle.  They wanted the groom's daughter to be included in the unity so the bride, groom and groom's daughter had their own family unity candle.

During the ceremony when asked for the rings, the Best Man and Matron of Honor handed over some ring pops! The preacher held them up and said, "Do I really have to pray over these?"
The bride and groom had a small tribute to the grandparents that are no longer with them by placing pictures of them at the alter and flowers in their memory.

The entire wedding party wore cowboy boots -- I love this detail!

The groom loves his Mac so his grooms cake was commissioned to look like an Apple Laptop.

Not only did the bride have a father/daughter dance; the groom also had a father/daughter dance with his little girl.

Congratulations Nicole and PC!! I hope you have enjoyed your first 10 months of wedded bliss! Thank you for sharing your special day with us =)

Wedding Wednesday

Meet Faith and her hubby, Sean.
She has the sweetest blog -- Life. Love & Marriage.  Check her out! I met her through PW (projectwedding.com) and her wedding was just beautiful!

Faith and Sean were married November 6, 2009 at Grace Fellowship Church in New York. They had a beautiful wedding in a stunning palete of navy blue and grey with accents of various shades of pink, ranging from blush to hot pink.
Our Invitations photo 1

The bride was stunning in Micheal Nolte: Sapphire.

The couple had a 'First Look' before the ceremony -- Sean waited for her with a bouquet of flowers.  I love this first picture; it seems a little retro a la the man is waiting for his 'date' to descend the stairs. So sweet!

Faith and Sean didn't take their first dance together as man and wife too serious -- they really enjoyed each other's company.  So much so, that after he dipped his bride, Sean asked that she dip him.

During the reception, the groom go into a 'dance off' with one of his groomsmen.  This reception seems like it was full of life and so much fun!

Congratulations to Faith and Sean.  Your wedding was gorgeous and Faith made a stunning bride!
Check her out at Life. Love & Marriage!
