Getting Better With Age

Let me just say, I am SUPER excited for The 20/20 Experience to be released...only a couple more days! YAY!!!

I have to be honest, I didn't love him when he was with N*SYNC.  First off, I didn't even LIKE them until I saw them at a concert.  When I heard their harmonies live...well that totally changed my outlook.  I think I have previously discussed that if an artist is terrible live I quit listening to them.  Well the opposite is also true, I will start listening to an artist if they are awesome live.  OK for the most part...I'm not a huge Kenny Chesney fan but he is awesome live. I don't like listening to his music on the radio/iPod but live, he was awesome.

When I started listening to N*SYNC, they were on their way 'out' and JT was going his own way.  I honestly wasn't sure he was going to have a stellar career...and then he released Future Sex/Love Sounds. I actually bought that CD when The Husband and I were on our first date. We were wasting time before the movie started and went to Best Buy =)  Hmmmm that was a fun memory =)

anywho...

THIS was not my favorite look of his

I am loving me some grown-up Justin though!

Is it just me, or does it REALLY seem like men start getting better looking as they age? That seems wrong, doesn't it?! There are LOADS of examples of this...My husband, I swear, gets better and better looking! Ha! I don't know if it is an age thing or WHAT but it seems that with each passing year, a larger percentage of the male population looks better and better.

James Caviezel
Such a BABY here!!!

Person of Interest
Hello! I'm interested! ;)

George Clooney

Brad Pitt

I think I make a fairly valid point! Regardless - I am going to be one of those people on Friday making a bee-line for Mr Timberlake's new music. For your enjoyment...

Do you think men get better with age?
will you be getting the new JT music?

What I'm Loving!

I'm linking up with Jamie for

I'm Loving Jason Bateman!
The Husband and I watched Horrible Bosses the other night after work. We laughed a lot - I found the movie a little disturbing but it was very funny =) My favorite part I have seen Jason Bateman in so far has to be in Dodgeball as Pepper Brooks...AMAZING

I did also enjoy him in The Change-up  =)

I'm Loving Jennifer Aniston in Horrible Bosses...it was WAY out of character for her to play the role she did. She was dirty sexy - it was weird lol. I love me some Aniston though =) I can't wait to watch these to together in The Switch =)

I'm Loving the project J and I worked on last night! we are going to finish it tonight and I can't wait to share it!! =) It looks so great already and we aren't even finished!!

I'm Loving these accessories from Forever 21

I'm Loving that it is already Wednesday!

I'm Loving that The Husband and I are working out together and eating better =) We started this about a week ago and we are both feeling great! =)

I'm Loving what J and I are planning for Valentine's and our 2nd anniversary!

I'm Loving that we cuddle most every night. =)

I'm Loving the new Kelly Clarkson cd
I know she isn't everyone's fave but girl is TALENTED and her hit songs are always catchy. I have to tell you that the songs that don't make the radio are some of the best songs she does =) I also love that she is a normal size and owns it - not everyone is built to be teeny tiny. This cd is currently on repeat on my iPod in my car =)

I'm loving my wonderful friends and family!

I'm loving the power of prayer and the calm I feel when I commune with The Lord.
I know some people in my life who could use the prayers for a variety of reasons- some for fellow bloggers, some for special friends and family, some of them are for me. I know it is hard to pray for those that remain unnamed, but every prayer counts.

I'm Loving my super amazing husband

What are you loving?

God Gave Rock 'n' Roll To You - Put It In the Soul of Everyone

Hi everyone!! Ugh! I totally don't mean to be neglecting the ol' blog here but I have been busy busy busy! Just hang on a little longer and I will get back to a more regular schedule.

Last night my dad and I went to a concert:
Pop Evil, Theory of a Deadman, and 3 Doors Down!
Can I just tell you that it was AMAZING! I am so happy I was able to see 3 Doors Down as I have been a fan since day 1!!!
Here are a couple pictures of 3DD that I got with my camera phone. I took some really great pictures of all the bands with my camera but I don't have it AND the camera cord right now.

oh and just for laughs:
It is hard to make out but this 'couple' wasn't a couple when they showed up -- I'm pretty sure they didn't even know one another. I'm not against finding someone at a bar -- to each their own.  My issue with this particular couple is that they were grinding to Theory of a Deadman's Bitch Came Back as well as their remake of Cocaine (originally by Eric Clapton).  Seriously -grinding?? Then they were licking -- yes licking -- each other during one of the 3DD songs. So moral of the story kids, make sure the friend you take with you doesn't let you have a night where you will wake up the next morning and think "WTF?!" Her friend was definitely NOT looking out for her lol

I hope you're having an amazing week!
What was the last concert you went to??

J & A Chronicles: Wedding Pt VII
Reception: Special Dances

Immediately after the toasts, we went into the special dances: First Dance, Father/Daughter, and Mother/Son. We thought this was a good idea so that the cake could be distributed and eaten while we danced. Unfortunately I didn't end up getting any cake after we fed one another during the cake cutting. =/
I let J pick a LOT of the details, especially for the wedding. He picked all the songs for the entrance, cake cutting, first dance and the garter removal/toss (which we will get to later)
The song he picked for our first dance was Old Bird Dog by Crossin' Dixon. Originally we were going to have the lead singer there to sing it for us but he couldn't make it. So we went with it anyway.  It would definitely NOT have been my choice but it didn't matter =)

I asked my dad to pick the song for the Father/Daughter dance. He listened to a lot of songs and asked for my opinion.  I insisted that the song needed to be his choice as the dance is to honor him. He eventually picked She's On Her Way by Phil Vassar.  Go listen to it; it really is an amazing song! I cry every time I hear it.

I'm not sure how J and his mom picked their song. I didn't really have a hand in that at all. They eventually decided on My Wish by Rascal Flatts.

Happy Friday and First Day of April!

Thoughts on Thursday

Happy Friday Eve Everyone!!
*Last night, J was able to stay OUT of cop cars haha =) I still can't get over it. It freaked me out when he was telling the story but I was laughing by the end of it.

*I have gotten a lot of requests to upload a recording of me and my brother-in-law playing.  So Here is one song we did last night -- Familiar Taste of Poison (Halestorm). Please excuse the quality -- I had The Husband record it on my point-and-shoot camera.  Larry is playing the guitar and I am singing.
We play again tomorrow night -- I am going to see if I can get another song or so recorded to share. =)

*This weekend is Christina's bachelorette party! I am so excited!! I think we are going to have an amazing time.  I can't go into details because said details are being kept a secret from The Bride-to-be.

*The shoes J ordered still won't be here until Monday. BOO!! BUT at least it is Thursday!! On Monday, a week was SO long but now it is only a few days =) I can't wait to share them!!

*I watched an episode of "Hoarders" last night.  It made me want to clean the house top to bottom.  I think that is going to be my Saturday chore.  It grossed me out so badly! It wasn't like she was keeping all the trash, she just didn't put anything away.  She kept piling stuff upon stuff. She KNEW it was a mess so I am not sure if she was just lazy or if she was saying she knew it was messy because she was on the show? Still it was disgusting! She had a shedding dog and there was dog hair EVERYWHERE!! ICK! Nothing like a little motivation lol

*I forgot it was St. Patrick's Day but I wore green anyway. That worked out -- luck of the Irish maybe? haha Just kidding.  I think I am NOT supposed to wear green because I am pretty sure I am not Irish.  You're only supposed to wear green if you ARE Irish, right?

*OH I am SO excited -- I won a CUTE give away from my girl over at Letting Love Grow.  It is this ADORABLE headband from Mila Rose Designs.  Thanks so much Kait!!

*I need to find a casual-ish dress for Christina's rehearsal next Friday.  I was going to wear something a little more dressy but the invite states casual...boo!! I was going to see if my sis wanted to go shopping with me on Saturday but she is sick =/ Now I have no one to shop with! BOO!!

*SO I need YOUR help -- any suggestions on where to shop? NOT online -- it won't be here soon enough and needs to be affordable.

I hope y'all are having a great week -- the weekend starts tomorrow!!

200th Post! & Thursday Randoms ♥

Happy Fri....Oh wait, It is MY Friday! Sorry, I know -- I shouldn't rub it in. That's rude!

This marks my 200th post!! I. AM. FLOORED! I didn't know if I would stick with this but I LOVE to blog and talk to all you lovelies

The Husband worked TWO 24 hour shifts and right now he is on his way to ATLANTA for a DAY JOB. He left the house this morning at 3:30!! Not even joking. I DID manage to go back to sleep -- which is a small victory for me! But at least he will be home with me tonight!

I took tomorrow off because J and I want to celebrate our anniversary (which is Sunday) by spending three WHOLE days together! WOO! I'm so excited!! I will let you know what we do and how it goes

Oh AND today is our month-iversary haha. Hey - stop judging! We celebrate our dating month-iversary AND our wedding month-iversary.  J is WAY better remembering than I am.  I tell him it is because I have so much else going on in my brain, he has to take responsibility of remembering SOMETHING

I am happy to be finished with this week though. Thank you all so much for the kind words and virtual hugs on Monday J  I felt very loved and filled with warm fuzzies! The week has been HIGHLY exhausting. We have dealt with some issues but I am happy to report that I think what was going on has been resolved! HOORAY!

My very sweet friend Christina has had a rough week -- it isn't my place to discuss it; she has briefly discussed it this week, BUT I do ask, if you have a minute, go share some ♥ love ♥

Tonight I am bowling with my daddy and Marc & Christy -- I love that Christy and I get guaranteed friend time every week. It will be sad when it ends in about 6 weeks =/ We will definitely have to find another league for us to bowl together.

I had a bacon, egg & cheese biscuit from Chick-fil-a for the first time. Can I just say UH-MAZ-ING! Seriously, it is so yummy and doesn't sit heavy in my tummy. Couple that with some chocolate milk = best part of my day so far haha

Christy let me copy her Katy Perry cd -- can i just tell you how much I love it!? I didn't think I would ever listen to Katy Perry...I wasn't completely sold on some of her early releases but I am loving Teenage Dream.

Anyone listen to All Time Low?  I 'discovered' this band about 3 years ago when I couldn't sleep and turned on one of the MTV channels that actually still plays music videos at night.  I LOVE this band -- I love the harmonies and their clever lyrics.  *Funny Story* when I got to the window to pay for aforementioned breakfast, the girl noticed that I had an All Time Low cd sitting on the passenger seat.  We 'hit' it off lol and had a pleasant conversation.  It is funny to me what makes people connect with one another

Happy almost Friday!

Singing Machine & WILW

So yesterday I was a BIG tease!! It's OK I know. =)
We didn't get washed away by the FOUR INCHES OF RAIN AN HOUR, so I made it to the 'performance'. I have been singing with my brother-in-law at a local bar here in Orlando.
Larry got the gig originally and we went and watched him.  It made me want to get back to singing in a VERY bad way! So after that first night, I got with him and told him I would LOVE to sing if ever he wanted to take a break and just play guitar.  He was definitely up for that.
So on Tuesday nights for the past 2 weeks I have been singing acoustically at this bar.  =) Every week I get fewer and fewer butterflies!! It's been amazing! 2 out of 3 weeks, our close family friend (who also took our amazing wedding pictures) has been coming up and taking pictures -- I will share a few =)
The set list for the first night was:
Marry Me - Train
Stay - Sugarland
Familiar Taste of Poison - Halestorm
Lucky - Jason Mraz (Larry) & Colbie Caillat (Me)

It was a short list but I didn't know how it would go AND we had limited time to practice/learn songs.
The second week:
Lucky - Jason Mraz (Larry) & Colbie Caillat (Me)
Marry Me - Train Stay - Sugarland
Familiar Taste of Poison - Halestorm
My Happy Ending - Avril Lavigne
Undo It - Carried Underwood

Last night -- we didn't have our photographer =/ because it was trying to monsoon, haha! =) We had a decent crowd and they changed the sound systems a little which made a HUGE difference.  I already can't wait to go back!!
Set List Last Night:
Undo It - Carried Underwood
Lucky - Jason Mraz (Larry) & Colbie Caillat (Me)
Familiar Taste of Poison - Halestorm
Stay - Sugarland
Bob Marley Medley (I sang harmony -- Larry was lead)
Fully Alive - Flyleaf
Awake & Alive - Skillet (I sang the entire song)

SO NEXT FRIDAY (the 4th), if you are in the CFL area and don't have anything to do, we'll be playing again! =) Email me for the location/time: lifeaftertheaisle@gmail.com
