Project 52 - Week 4: Reflection
& Miscellany Monday

First Off -- since everyone has been posting pictures of the weather in their neck of the woods, I thought I would post one to share from Florida that I took on Saturday while walking the D-O-G.
It was warm-ish on Saturday -- like 70*! But we had a great time walking.  This is where I found my inspiration for Week 4 of the Project 52: Reflection
The water was SO calm and just perfect for this challenge. AND Ruger was even cooperative. =)

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters
--I'm still sick. =/ I stayed on the couch all weekend, except when I took the dog for a walk on Saturday morning.  How am I still sick?! I took cold medicine and drank lots of fluids! ugh! I'm staying home on the couch another day in hopes of getting better by tomorrow.  Do you think that's possible??

--We watched more movies since I was restricted to the couch yesterday:
Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Con Air

Men In Black

Casino Royale
Casino Royale Poster

We also spent time catching up on some of our shows: Modern Family, Rules of Engagement & Castle.

--I have to call in this afternoon to see if I have jury duty tomorrow.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that I DO NOT have it, especially since I am not going into work today, I will need to get my work done tomorrow.

--I love my husband! He took care of me all weekend and made some fresh squeezed orange juice in hopes to help me feel better. He also gave me lots of hugs and cuddles and consequently, he started getting sick.  THANKFULLY he isn't stubborn and took some meds immediately.  He never got what I have and is feeling great today; Lukcy!

I hope you all had lovely weekends!

Lazy Saturday

So it's official -- I'm sick =/  I have all the symptoms of a cold except the fever part.  The worst part is my sore throat and husky voice.  Since I am sick, we have decided it's a good idea to lay low all weekend.  After J got home from doing a little work, we watched 3 movies!!
300
Gerard Butler is unreal in this movie and I love the cinematography! There is a lot of fighting (obviously) and blood shed but it's definitely a movie I love having in our collection!

Going the Distance
I really liked Drew Barrymore and Justin Long together; their onscreen chemistry was so great! Christina Applegate did have some instances where she definitely stole the spotlight.  I loved most of her lines! The movie itself definitely inappropriate - with a lot of rude/shocking humor but it was fun to laugh on the couch with The Husband. =)

The Hangover
Enough said haha!
PS: I love Zack Galifianakas -- ESPECIALLY in Out Cold!
Well I think today will be another movie day on the couch =) I'll let you know how it goes! I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend!

J & A Chronicles: The Bachelorette (Party)

Happy Friday Y'all (and can you believe I'm getting sick?!)!!!  We're getting so close to starting the recap of the wedding in all its goodness and glory!! I am so excited because well, I LOVE wedding pictures =)
This MAY be the last J&A post without wedding pictures...I haven't decided yet =)

My bacheloretter party was on a Saturday night last January -- I can't believe how fast a year has gone!!
One of my bridesmaids hosted the party and it was perfect! Everyone met at my parent's house to have lasagna, cake & wine before heading out.

We went to a piano bar where random people gave me beads and bought me shots. I was also pulled up onto the stage to be serenaded =)

This guy gave me the beads

Christy bought my first shot -- Lemon Drop
Random girl bought me a Washington Apple shot -- I have no idea what she was saying to me

We eventually made our way over to a dance club.  There was a REALLY old guy tryin' to dance with all the girls that walked in.  Needless to say, he provided us with much needed entertainment =)
Then there was this guy, he wanted to dance for me since it was my bachelorette party. I was drunk but slightly embarrassed -- but we all got a kick out of it.
I had on a light up ring so when someone would walk away from the group, I would get texts to turn on my ring and hold it in the air so they could find the group again.  It was brilliant and too funny =)
We all made our way to the dance floor where random guys jumped into the backgrounds of our pictures and a couple other guys kept asking us who in the group was single. we didn't sell out anyone in the group to them haha =)
Gummi Bear Shot

see the random guy?!

Our last stop was the karaoke bar.  We didn't sing because it was late BUT we did enjoy watching other people and hanging out until they closed down.

I didn't have nights like this in college or high school where I went out clubbing or drinking so I have no comparison BUT this night had to have been one of THE premier party nights EVER haha =)

Singing Machine & WILW

So yesterday I was a BIG tease!! It's OK I know. =)
We didn't get washed away by the FOUR INCHES OF RAIN AN HOUR, so I made it to the 'performance'. I have been singing with my brother-in-law at a local bar here in Orlando.
Larry got the gig originally and we went and watched him.  It made me want to get back to singing in a VERY bad way! So after that first night, I got with him and told him I would LOVE to sing if ever he wanted to take a break and just play guitar.  He was definitely up for that.
So on Tuesday nights for the past 2 weeks I have been singing acoustically at this bar.  =) Every week I get fewer and fewer butterflies!! It's been amazing! 2 out of 3 weeks, our close family friend (who also took our amazing wedding pictures) has been coming up and taking pictures -- I will share a few =)
The set list for the first night was:
Marry Me - Train
Stay - Sugarland
Familiar Taste of Poison - Halestorm
Lucky - Jason Mraz (Larry) & Colbie Caillat (Me)

It was a short list but I didn't know how it would go AND we had limited time to practice/learn songs.
The second week:
Lucky - Jason Mraz (Larry) & Colbie Caillat (Me)
Marry Me - Train Stay - Sugarland
Familiar Taste of Poison - Halestorm
My Happy Ending - Avril Lavigne
Undo It - Carried Underwood

Last night -- we didn't have our photographer =/ because it was trying to monsoon, haha! =) We had a decent crowd and they changed the sound systems a little which made a HUGE difference.  I already can't wait to go back!!
Set List Last Night:
Undo It - Carried Underwood
Lucky - Jason Mraz (Larry) & Colbie Caillat (Me)
Familiar Taste of Poison - Halestorm
Stay - Sugarland
Bob Marley Medley (I sang harmony -- Larry was lead)
Fully Alive - Flyleaf
Awake & Alive - Skillet (I sang the entire song)

SO NEXT FRIDAY (the 4th), if you are in the CFL area and don't have anything to do, we'll be playing again! =) Email me for the location/time: lifeaftertheaisle@gmail.com
